UCC ANNOUNCES 61ST ANNUAL GRADUATION CEREMONY

Umpqua Community College will celebrate the Class of 2026 on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at the UCC Swanson Amphitheater.

A college release said nearly 1,800 students will earn degrees, certificates, pathway certificates, apprenticeship certifications, and industry recognized credentials. That represents a 26 percent increase over 2025, highlighting UCC’s continued commitment to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening the region’s workforce.

The Class of 2026 includes graduates prepared to enter a wide range of high-demand careers. UCC will graduate 126 allied health professionals, including 54 registered nurses, along with 19 welders, 68 students earning certificates in computer science-related fields, and 159 graduates in business and retail management programs. In addition, UCC trained 53 commercial truck drivers, 27 pharmacy technicians, and 188 wildland firefighters. This will help meet critical workforce needs throughout Douglas County and the state.

The college will also recognize students earning industry-recognized credentials through Career Academy and NC3 programs, apprenticeship certifications, and career and technical education certificates that provide direct pathways to employment and career advancement.

The commencement speaker will be Aden Bliss, chief financial and operating officer for The Ford Family Foundation.

The ceremony is open to the public.
