Roseburg Police jailed a man for a failure to appear warrant, a criminal count of prohibited camping and offensive littering on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 9:00 am. the 55-year-old was contacted in his tent that was set up in the bushes on Oregon Department of Transportation property near the northbound on-ramp to Interstate 5 from Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. There was a very large amount of trash surrounding the man’s campsite. Officers found the man had the warrant during the contact. He was taken into custody without incident. Bail was set at $15,000.
