ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT AFTER DISTURBANCE

Roseburg Police jailed a woman for second-degree disorderly conduct after a disturbance on Monday evening.

An RPD report said at approximately 8:25 p.m. officers responded to the Rose Apartments in the 800 block of Southeast Stephens Street after a caller said there had been a shooting. Upon arrival, officers observed the 36-year-old on top of the building screaming. Continued reports indicated that the suspect was stating there was a bomb in the building and the gas had been turned on by a man with the intent of blowing up the building.

Officers detained the woman, who was erratic and seemingly under the influence. Officers spoke with witnesses who stated they saw the suspect in the hall yelling and mentioning a bomb. The woman was causing substantial public alarm and was taken into custody. Bail was set at $2,500.
