Roseburg Police jailed a man Monday night for an alleged past theft incident and for a parole violation.

An RPD report said at 6:20 p.m. officers contacted 34-year-old Jacob Bogan of Glide outside a business in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Bogan was interviewed regarding a past theft from a store in early May and admitted to the crime. A detainer was authorized. He was charged with two counts of second-degree theft. Bail was set at $12,500.
