Staff with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife are bringing turkey hunting workshops to Roseburg and Central Point this month.
An ODFW release said that it includes a youth workshop this Saturday in Central Point.
Those who are new to hunting, or new to turkey hunting can spend the day learning everything from turkey calling techniques, shotgun setup and safety, spring hunting tactics, and field dressing wild turkey. All workshops begin at 8:00 a.m.
*April 5th: A youth clinic in Central Point for those ages 8-17 years old. Attendees take home various turkey calls and other gear and have a chance to win an opportunity to turkey hunt with an experienced hunter from ODFW or the Oregon Hunters Association. Fee is $10.
*April 12th-13th: Adult workshops in Roseburg. Participants can attend either on Saturday or on Sunday. Fee is $40.
*April 26th: Adult workshop in Central Point. Fee is $40.
