In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Roseburg High School Theater Department presents “Something Like a Christmas Carol”, on stage in December.
It is a comedic spin on the Dicken’s classic, written and adapted by Troy Pennington.
The synopsis said a community theater troupe in Middletown, Connecticut is attempting to put on their seventh annual production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. There is only one problem and that is everything. The actors are out sick, the costumes never arrived, and the set is missing! The fearless director and her anxious team assemble a motley crew of community members to pull off one of the greatest feats in theatre history. They build, rehearse, and perform an entire show in less than seven hours! Will the show go on? Spoiler alert: It does, but you’ve never seen A Christmas Carol like this!
Performances will be in the Rose Theater on the RHS campus. Shows are December 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th at 7:00 p.m. and December 8th and 15th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door. $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 13 and under, and $5 for any student with ID.
