However approximately 29 states and Washington D.C. do not celebrate it.

In Oregon, Monday is Indigenous People’s Day and is a state holiday.

With the two observances, federal and state offices are closed. Regular mail is not being delivered. Banks and credit unions are not open.

County and city offices are on their regular schedule. Schools are operating as usual. Most professional offices and retail outlets are open as normal, though a few could be on a modified schedule.
