Roseburg Police jailed a woman for an alleged store robbery on Saturday night.

An RPD report said just after 8:10 p.m. 24-year-old Elizabeth Weist allegedly stole numerous items from Fred Meyer in the 900 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. As she was attempting to leave, an employee tried to stop her and Weist reportedly slapped the employee on the arm. The suspect was detained a short distance away wearing the stolen items. It was discovered that she had a warrant.

Weist was charged with third-degree robbery, second-degree theft, probation violation and for the warrant. She was detained without bail.
