A Cottage Grove woman was jailed following a high-speed chase on Saturday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at about 10:15 p.m. the 44-year-old was called in as driving reckless on Highway 99 from Drain towards Curtin. A deputy located the woman’s pickup traveling west while swerving across the entire highway at approximately 90 miles per hour. The deputy activated his overhead lights and siren. The woman eluded him for about a mile and a half at around 110 miles per hour. She eventually yielded and the deputy conducted a high-risk stop in which the suspect complied with none of his commands and walked towards the patrol vehicle.

The woman was detained without incident and was transported to corrections. She was charged with attempting to elude police in a vehicle and reckless driving. The suspect was detained without bail.
