ROSEBURG POLICE CITED FOUR PEOPLE FOR PROHIBITED CAMPING WEDNESDAY

Roseburg Police cited four people for prohibited camping on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 8:45 a.m. a 42-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were camping between the bicycle path and the railroad tracks at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. The pair allegedly had several items blocking the bike path. Their camp was in a restricted area, outside of the allowed time, and had items scattered around it.

At about 9:15 a.m. a 62-year-old woman was found camping near the baseball fields of Gaddis Park, violating the time and place restriction. She also had a structure next to her tent that did not comply with the manner restriction.

At 9:45 a.m. a 40-year-old woman was reportedly camping, also in the park, in an open field between the bicycle path and the South Umpqua River, within twenty feet of the water. Her camp was in a restricted area, outside of the allowed time. It had items scattered around it.

Everyone was released after their citations were issued.
