Roseburg’s Fir Grove Park Splash Pad will open Memorial Day weekend.

A City release said the facility offers a cool oasis where residents can escape the heat this summer.

Roseburg Parks and Recreation crews are getting ready to fill the system’s 4,000- gallon water tank so they can open the interactive spray park on Saturday May 25th.

The splash pad is a free seasonal offering open daily each summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to dusk. The splash pad is located just off West Harvard Avenue behind the Umpqua Valley Arts Center.

Shade is limited, so staff encourages residents to be prepared with sunscreen, hats and sunglasses.
