Roseburg Police cited a woman for an alleged theft incident on Tuesday afternoon.
An RPD report said at 2:40 p.m. officers contacted the 33-year-old behind a business at the intersection of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and Northwest Dogwood Drive with a Home Depot shopping cart in her possession. The woman claimed the cart was not hers, but her puppy was chained to it and puppy food was in the cart with numerous other items. The woman had been warned less than a week ago about being in possession of shopping carts off store property.
The woman was cited and released on the scene for second-degree theft. The shopping cart was transported to the Parks Department where it will await pickup by the store.
