A Winter Storm Warning is in effect through 4:00 p.m. Tuesday for mountain areas in parts of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said heavy snow is expected with accumulations of 20 to 30 inches.

The Warning area is for the south-central Oregon Cascades including Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and Union Creek. It applies to highways 62, 230, 138, and 58.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult.
