Roseburg Police dealt with seven driving under the influence of intoxicants incidents in around a 24-hour period between early Saturday and early Sunday.

An RPD report said at 1:30 a.m. Saturday an officer pulled over 25-year-old Alexander Wyscaver for several traffic violations and noted signs of impairment. The officer checked the Roseburg man’s driving status and determined he was criminally suspended. The man was placed into handcuffs and transported to corrections. The driver consented to standard field sobriety tests and reportedly performed poorly. Wyscaver allegedly refused a breath test, so a search warrant was authored and signed by a circuit court judge. The driver was charged with DUII, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, a misdemeanor count of driving while suspended, and failure to take a test for intoxicants. Wyscaver was detained on $5,000 bail and was released on Monday.

The second violation was observed shortly before 2:00 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Jackson Street. A 35-year-old Myrtle Creek woman reportedly refused standard field sobriety tests and was taken to corrections where a warrant was written for her blood alcohol content. She was cited for DUII and released to a valid driver.

At about 3:00 a.m. Saturday officers allegedly saw a passenger car leave a business in the 2600 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and begin to accelerate. Officers conducted a traffic stop and allegedly saw signs of impairment. A 23-year-old Roseburg woman was detained without incident. She was taken to corrections where she was cited and released for DUII.

Saturday afternoon at 4:45 p.m. a caller said a male driver was seen in the drive through of a business in the 2000 block of Northeast Stephens Street, allegedly drinking a beer before driving away. He was located a short distance away and agreed to perform standard field sobriety tests, which he reportedly performed poorly on. He was taken to corrections where he was released after being cited.

Saturday at approximately 9:20 p.m. officers contacted 46-year-old Travis Blondell during a traffic stop in the 300 block of West Harvard Avenue. Officers learned that Blondell’s driving status was suspended at the misdemeanor level. Several signs of impairment were reportedly noticed. The man was taken to jail and refused standard field sobriety tests. He then requested an attorney. An officer was granted a search warrant. Blondell was charged with DUII-alcohol, driving while suspended, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, failure to display plates and driving uninsured. He was detained without bail and released on Sunday.

Two drivers were cited and released for DUII after being stopped separately at around 1:00 a.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard
