A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 7:40 p.m. a driver’s iPhone notified dispatch of a crash at the 1.5-mile marker of Fortune Branch Road in the Glendale area. A deputy was able to locate the driver in the 200 block of the road and knew he had warrants for his arrest.

The 29-year-old stated the brakes on his SUV went out while he was moving at approximately 40 miles per hour on the gravel. The man stated that he jumped out of the moving vehicle before it hit the embankment and rolled into the middle of the roadway. The driver was evaluated by medical staff on the scene.
