A transient was jailed for an alleged burglary on Saturday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:00 p.m. a victim returned to their home in the 3000 block of Northeast Follett Street north of Roseburg after leaving it unlocked to run an errand. When he returned, the victim found several items left in his bed, with coffee spilled and a coffee cup that was left in the kitchen.
The victim noticed a female in the nearby alleyway that appeared to be suspicious. The woman, identified as 34-year-old Rachel Schwin, admitted to entering the home, and claimed that it belonged to a family member. Schwin admitted to leaving the items and making a mess.
She was charged with first-degree counts of burglary and trespass and third-degree criminal mischief. Schwin was detained without bail.
