Celebration of Literacy is underway in the Umpqua Valley with more events happening this week.

Tuesday is Valentines for Vets at the Boys and Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley. Members of Altrusa International of Roseburg and the Umpqua Literacy Council will be at the club to help kids make valentines that will go to the Roseburg VA Medical Center. That will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the Canyonville Community Library will have a big event featuring a singer and songwriter who will guide children through a series of activities to help them create and perform a song. The library is located at 250 North Main Street.
