Two Glide residents were arrested following an alleged incident Thursday night in the 100 block of Mt. Scott Lane.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 6:00 p.m. a 41-year old man reported that the 50-year old woman had stabbed him in the chest after an argument. It was later discovered that the man had allegedly strangled the woman in the kitchen before the two fought in their bedroom. At one point after the fight, the woman reportedly took scissors and stabbed the man in the chest causing a laceration which led to the man bleeding quite a bit.

The man then allegedly ran to a nearby business to call for help. The woman called a family member and had that person take her to another location. The report said she never called for assistance.

The man was jailed on charges of strangulation and harassment while the woman was charged with second-degree assault. Both were detained without bail.
