Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported assault incident on Sunday night.

An RPD report said at 8:30 p.m. officers responded to the Washington Street Bridge in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue for a fight between two people. The victim claimed the 34-year-old approached him and punched him in the face three times. The victim had a broken nose from the altercation and was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for his injury.

The suspect was charged with fourth-degree assault and for menacing. Bail was set at $12,500.
