A Roseburg man was jailed by Roseburg Police for a warrant on Thursday evening.

An RPD report said at 8:40 p.m. the 41-year old was contacted by officers as they were investigating a theft in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. The 41-year old reportedly gave a false name twice before officers figured out who he was.

The report said the man knew he had a warrant and gave officers a false name so they would not arrest him. Washington County requested that he be cited and released for that warrant.
