An hours long power outage for approximately 1,100 Douglas Electric Cooperative customers has been resolved, the company announced Monday afternoon.
Power was disrupted in the Elkton and Scottsburg areas around 8 a.m. Monday after a logger inadvertently dropped a tree on to the power company’s distribution line. The repair site was off-road and difficult to access, which led to the more than four-hour disruption.
Crews were able to fix the issue for all customers shortly after noon.
