Hope Springs Eternal, a free family event hosted by the non-profit partner organizations of the Jerry Bruce Community Campus will take place on Saturday.

It will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Aviva Health parking lot at 150 Northeast Kenneth Ford Drive.

A release said the event aims to bring the community together for fun activities, live performances, snacks and drinks provided by three food trucks, and much more.

Hope Springs Eternal is also an opportunity to introduce the five organizations on the campus – Family Development Center, FISH Food Pantry, Umpqua Health Alliance, the United Community Action Network, and Aviva Health – to the community and educate people on the programs and services that each one of them offers.

Activities will include animals from Wildlife Safari, an obstacle course, face painting, balloon art, a selfie booth, and more. There will also be a dunk tank, offering community members the chance to soak campus leaders and other volunteers. A number of prizes will be given out as well.

Proceeds from Hope Springs Eternal will benefit Family Development Center, a local non-profit organization that is focused on nurturing successful and resilient children, strengthening parents and preserving families to prevent child abuse and neglect.
