CHEESE AND THANK YOU FOR THE MONTH OF MAY

Eleven restaurants in Douglas County will soon be offering their unique take on an old favorite- grilled cheese.

A release from Feeding Umpqua said throughout the month of May, each sale of a grilled cheese item from one of the participating restaurants will result in $2 being donated to Feeding Umpqua, a program of the United Community Action Network.

This marks the third year of Feeding Umpqua’s annual fundraiser called Cheese and Thank You.

To sweeten the deal for hungry restaurant-goers, Feeding Umpqua will also offer several opportunities to win prizes. Passports can be picked up at any of the participating restaurants. Purchasing four grilled cheese items from any of the participating restaurants. and getting the card filled out will enter customers into a drawing for a $150 Sherm’s gift certificate.

Grilled cheese buyers can also take a picture of their sandwich or a selfie, post it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #CheeseandThanks23, to be entered into a drawing for prizes.
