ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN AFTER ALLEGED PIE INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged pie incident on Monday night.

An RPD report said at 9:15 p.m. 35-year old Joshua Gunderson went into Fred Meyer in the 900 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and allegedly attempted to steal six pies from the bakery.

Gunderson was confronted by employees and reportedly threw the pies, hitting one of the employees. Gunderson finally left the store after bumping into an employee. He was confronted by officers a short time later near the duck pond where he was taken into custody without incident. Gunderson’s probation officer was contacted and authorized a detainer for the new crimes.

Gunderson was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree theft, harassment and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
