The Glide Wildflower Show is happening this coming weekend.

Considered to be the Pacific Northwest’s premiere wildflower show, the event began in 1965. It is the largest display of native flora in the pacific northwest. Over 600 species of flowers, shrubs, grasses, ferns, lichens and mosses are gathered by dozens of collecting teams who travel southwest Oregon from the Cascade Mountains to the coast.

Additional displays feature noxious weeds, medicinal plants, natural dyes and photographs of rare and endangered plants.

The show is open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Glide Community Center. Photographers can come each day at 8:00 a.m. A variety of food options are available for purchase.
