ROTARY CLUB TO DEDICATE ROTARY WHEEL MONUMENTS APRIL 28TH

April 21, 2023 10:30 a.m.

On Friday April 28th, the Roseburg Rotary Club will unveil its Centennial Monuments at the intersection of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Edenbower Boulevard.

Marisa Fink from the club said the monuments were designed and crafted as a service project of the Sutherlin High School Metals/Welding students, with funding from the Rotary Club and a Rotary District Grant. Fink said each of the large steel frames of the monument will hold a large steel Rotary Wheel and aluminum signs acknowledging the 100 years of Rotary’s service to the community.

Fink said the community is encouraged to attend the one-hour event from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to see the monuments and learn about how teens can benefit from Roseburg Rotary Club’s youth programs. Parking is available at Parkway Animal Hospital and the U.S. Forest Service Office. Refreshments will be available. An identical monument will also be installed in downtown Roseburg on Southeast Oak Avenue.

The Roseburg Rotary Club meets every Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Aviva Health on Northeast Kenneth Ford Drive. Go to www.roseburgrotaryclub.org for more information.
