A driver evaded a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy during a chase on Tuesday.

A DCSO report said at 1:15 p.m. a vehicle was traveling at approximately 50 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone on Glendale Valley Road in the Glendale area. After the deputy turned on his overhead lights, the other vehicle increased its speed to approximately 70 miles per hour. It then turned onto Tunnel Road where a pursuit ensued.

The patrol vehicle chased the other vehicle until the top of Tunnel Road where the pursuit was terminated due to road conditions. No suspect information was available and the vehicle was not located.
