UCC Visual & Performing Arts is presenting a UCC Theatre Performance of “The Dining Room: a play of scenes across time”. A cast of 25 performers will offer the play written by A.R. Gurney. It is a collection of scenes fading in and out of one another, showing how American families have changed over time. It is underscored by a character in each scene that is experiencing a life change themselves.

A home’s dining room was once a source of pride, which also cemented the position of each person within the family by their place at the table. As today’s open floorplan homes bring people closer together and relax family roles, some might feet nostalgic for the formal dining room when seeing this play.

The production will be offered March 16th through March 19th. Performances will be at 7:00 p.m. the first three nights, with matinees at 3:00 p.m. offered that Saturday and Sunday. There is also a high school students and parents preview night on March 15th at 7:00 p.m.

The play will be held in UCC’s Whipple Fine Arts Center. Admission is $10 per person, cash at the door.
