COVID-19 cases in Douglas County are down about 21 percent.
An update from the Douglas Public Health Network said 100 cases of COVID-19 were reported in the week ending Wednesday. That is down from 127 reported in the previous seven days.
DPHN Public Information Officer Vanessa Becker said 3 more people have died related to the virus. Becker said the deaths reported were two men, ages 55 and 81, and one woman who was 65 years old. Becker said hospitalizations are down, ranging from 2 to 8 per day in the past week. 5 people were hospitalized related to the virus on Wednesday.
Since the pandemic began, 434 county residents have died related to COVID-19. 24,535 cases have been reported in that time.
