A transient was jailed for alleged disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest on Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 3:10 p.m. deputies were sent to Taco Bell in Green, just west of Interstate 5, after a caller said a woman was yelling and attempting to get into the vehicles of customers and employees. The suspect was located in the parking lot.

While attempting to confirm her identity the woman allegedly took a prescription bottle out of her bag which did not have her name on it. She reportedly dumped over 20 pills into her hand and attempted to put them in her mouth. Deputies were able to grab her arm before she did, but then she started to pull away and resist.

57-year old Linda Stafford was charged with 2 counts each of resisting arrest and 2nd degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $11,000. Stafford was released on Sunday.
