COVID-19 CLAIMS 8 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,882, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 8 more lives, raising the state’s total to 2,885, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,382 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 225,919. The new cases include:

*169 in Multnomah County

*118 in Lane County

*98 in Washington County

*94 in Clackamas County

*88 in Umatilla County

*86 each in Josephine and Deschutes counties

*82 in Marion County

*78 in Douglas County

*59 in Jackson County

*50 in Polk County

*37 in Linn County

*31 in Clatsop County

*29 each in Columbia and Coos counties

*27 in Yamhill County

*23 each in Benton and Klamath counties

*22 each in Crook, Lincoln and Morrow counties

*17 in Tillamook County

*16 in Malheur County

*15 in Wasco County

*13 in Curry County

*12 each in Baker and Jefferson counties

*8 in Wallowa County

*6 in Union County

*3 in Harney County

*2 in Grant County

*1 in Wheeler County

The new deaths ranged in age from 35 to 81. 4 lived in Union County. 2 lived in Jackson County. I each lived in Lincoln and Malheur counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 457, which is 35 more than on Wednesday. There are 134 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 more than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 6,922 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 3,242 doses were administered on Wednesday. 3,680 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
