COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,858, AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2.858, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,076 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 219,755. The new cases include:

*188 in Jackson County

*134 in Multnomah County

*82 in Umatilla County

*81 in Lane County

*77 in Clackamas County

*76 in Washington County

*57 in Douglas County

*46 in Marion County

*40 in Deschutes County

*33 in Josephine County

*29 in Linn County

*22 each in Baker and Union counties

*21 in Benton County

*20 in Polk County

*15 each in Coos and Wasco counties

*13 each in Clatsop and Tillamook counties

*12 in Yamhill County

*10 in Wallowa County

*9 each in Hood River and Lincoln counties

*7 each in Crook and Morrow counties

*6 each in Columbia and Jefferson counties

*5 in Malheur County

*3 in Klamath County

*2 each in Harney and Wheeler counties

*1 each in Grant and Sherman counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 61 to 85. 1 each lived in Jackson, Clackamas and Marion counties.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 298, which is 13 more than on Thursday. There are 97 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 13 more than on Thursday.

OHA reported that 6,702 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 3,404 doses were administered on Thursday. 3,298 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Thursday.
