COVID-19 CLAIMS 1 MORE LIFE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,834, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,834, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 539 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 214,263. The new cases include:

*70 in Umatilla County

*63 in Jackson County

*54 in Multnomah County

*50 in Lane County

*44 in Clackamas County

*43 in Washington County

*36 in Marion County

*28 in Deschutes County

*27 in Josephine County

*24 in Linn County

*19 in Douglas County

*12 in Yamhill County

*8 each in Benton, Columbia and Polk counties

*7 in Benton County

*6 each in Coos and Jefferson counties

*5 in Wallowa County

*4 each in Malheur and Wasco counties

*3 each in Crook, Curry, Klamath, Morrow and Union counties

*2 each in Lincoln County

*1 each in Baker, Grant, Hood River and Tillamook counties

The new death was a 95-year old woman in Douglas County.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 169, which is 18 more than on Wednesday. There are 39 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is two more than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 5,925 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 3,135 doses were administered on Wednesday. 2,790 were administered on previous days but were added into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
