COVID-19 CLAIMS 9 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,826, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 9 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,826, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 777 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 212,755. The cases were reported between Friday and Sunday.

The new cases include:

*196 in Multnomah County

*73 in Clackamas County

*58 in Washington County

*57 in Josephine County

*56 in Jackson County

*53 in Lane County

*36 in Linn County

*35 in Marion County

*33 in Douglas County

*29 in Deschutes County

*22 in Umatilla County

*19 in Benton County

*17 in Yamhill County

*13 in Coos County

*11 in Jefferson County

*10 each in Polk and Union counties

*9 in Morrow and Tillamook counties

*7 in Columbia County

*4 in Lincoln County

*3 each in Clatsop, Sherman and Wallowa counties

*1 each in Harney, Hood River, Klamath, and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 53 to 82. 3 lived in Umatilla County. 2 lived Deschutes County. 1 each lived in Baker, Malheur, Douglas, and Wallowa counties.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients for COVID-19, which is 6 more than on Sunday. There are 39 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 5 fewer than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 2,497 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 1,717 doses were administered on Sunday. 780 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.
