COVID-19 CLAIMS 7 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,810, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 7 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,810, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 321 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 211,631. The new cases include:

*39 in Washington County

*37 in Marion County

*33 in Clackamas County

*32 in Umatilla County

*25 in Jackson County

*22 in Multnomah County

*19 in Josephine County

*18 in Linn County

*15 in Douglas County

*13 in Deschutes County

*10 in Lane County

*9 in Polk County

*8 each in Columbia and Yamhill counties

*6 in Crook County

*5 in Benton County

*4 each in Klamath and Morrow counties

*3 in Union counties

*2 each in Curry and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Jefferson and Lake counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 56 to 83. 1 each lived in Baker, Deschutes, Jackson, Marion, Morrow, Umatilla and Washington county.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 137, which is 15 more than on Wednesday. There are 38 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 more than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 6,125 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 2,904 doses were administered on Wednesday. 3,221 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
