COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,803, AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,803, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 251 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 211,315. The new cases include:

*29 in Jackson County

*27 each in Multnomah and Umatilla counties

*25 each in Clackamas and Marion counties

*20 in Washington County

*16 in Josephine County

*11 in Lane County

*10 each in Douglas and Linn counties

*8 in Polk County

*5 in Crook County

*4 each in Coos and Tillamook counties

*3 each in Union and Yamhill counties

*2 each in Benton, Columbia, Klamath, and Lincoln counties

*1 each in Curry, Harney, Hood River, and Morrow counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 78 to 91. All 3 lived in Clackamas County.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 122, which is 11 more than on Tuesday. There are 34 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 more than on Tuesday.

OHA reported that 6,086 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 3,219 doses were administered on Tuesday. 2,867 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Tuesday.
