COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL TO 2,800, AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,800, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 304 confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 211,065. The new cases include:

*48 in Jackson County

*36 in Washington County

*30 in Umatilla County

*28 in Marion County

*25 in Clackamas County

*24 in Lane County

*17 in Multnomah County

*15 each in Josephine and Klamath counties

*10 in Douglas County

*9 each in Clatsop, Linn and Polk counties

*7 each in Crook and Yamhill counties

*6 each in Deschutes, Lincoln and Malheur counties

*5 each in Baker and Benton counties

*4 each in Coos and Jefferson counties

*2 each in Harney, and Tillamook counties

*1 in Wasco County

The new deaths ranged in age from 71 to 93. 2 lived in Columbia County. 1 lived in Clatsop County

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 111, which is 2 more than on Monday. There are 30 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 more than on Monday.

OHA reported that 5,005 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 2,779 doses were administered on Monday. 2,226 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Monday.
