COVID-19 CLAIMS 5 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,797, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,797, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 506 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 210,729. That includes cases reported between Friday and Sunday. The new cases include:

*73 in Multnomah County

*54 in Clackamas County

*51 in Marion County

*38 in Umatilla County

*36 in Jackson County

*32 in Linn County

*30 in Josephine County

*28 in Washington County

*26 in Lane County

*23 in Douglas County

*21 in Deschutes County

*16 in Yamhill County

*12 in Benton County

*11 in Tillamook County

*7 each in Columbia, Coos and Klamath counties

*6 in Jefferson County

*5 each in Crook and Polk counties

*3 each in Curry, Lake and Morrow counties

*2 each in Clatsop, Union and Wasco counties

*1 each in Hood River, Lincoln and Malheur counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 84 to 92. 2 lived in Washington County. 1 each lived in Malheur, Multnomah and Clackamas counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 109, which is 2 fewer than on Sunday. There are 29 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 fewer than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 3,007 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 1,831 were administered on Sunday. 1,176 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.
