COVID-19 CLAIMS 3 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,729, AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 3 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,729, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 285 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 204,865. The new cases include:

*38 in Washington County

*37 in Multnomah County

*30 in Douglas County

*28 in Clackamas County

*25 in Marion County

*22 in Lane County

*15 in Jackson County

*14 in Deschutes County

*10 in Umatilla County

*9 each in Crook and Linn counties

*6 in Yamhill County

*5 each in Benton, Josephine and Klamath counties

*3 each in Columbia, Gilliam, Jefferson, Malheur and Polk counties

*2 each in Baker, Coos, Harney, and Lincoln counties

*1 each in Curry, Sherman, Union and Wheeler counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 77 to 96.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 160, which is 9 more than on Friday. There are 41 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 more than on Friday.

OHA reported that 17,231 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 9,034 doses were administered on Friday. 8,197 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.
