COVID-19 CLAIMS 7 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,683, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 7 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,683, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 267 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID. The new cases include:

*48 in Multnomah County

*36 in Douglas County

*25 in Marion County

*21 in Lane County

*19 each in Deschutes and Jackson counties

*18 in Clackamas County

*15 each in Linn and Umatilla counties

*9 in Washington County

*7 in Gilliam County

*6 in Malheur County

*4 in Union County

*3 each in Columbia, Crook and Josephine counties

*2 each in Baker, Hood River, Klamath, Tillamook and Yamhill counties

*1 each in Benton, Coos, Curry, Polk, Sherman and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 57 to 87. 2 lived in Polk County. 1 each lived in Lane, Coos, Marion, Multnomah,  and Washington counties.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 228, which is 1 more than on Wednesday. There are 63 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 20,401 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 8,812 doses were administered on Wednesday. 11,589 were administered prior to Wednesday.
