COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,624, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,624, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 284 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID, bringing the state total to 198,972. The new cases include:

*48 in Multnomah County

*46 in Clackamas County

*32 in Marion County

*30 in Lane County

*27 in Washington County

*19 in Jackson County

*17 in Linn County

*11 in Deschutes County

*9 in Polk and Yamhill counties

*8 in Douglas County

*6 in Benton County

*4 in Jefferson County

*3 each in Coos, Crook and Josephine counties

*2 in Columbia County

*1 each in Clatsop, Curry, Lincoln, Sherman, and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 70 to 78. Both lived in Jackson County

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 266, which is 18 more than on Sunday. There are 75 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 18 more than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 21,156 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 11,414 doses were administered on Sunday. 9,742 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.
