COVID-19 CLAIMS 16 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,549, AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 16 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,549, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 660 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 192,416. The new cases include:

*94 in Multnomah County

*90 in Washington County

*64 in Deschutes County

*60 in Clackamas County

*57 in Marion County

*52 in Lane County

*44 in Jackson County

*43 in Klamath County

*27 in Umatilla County

*22 in Linn County

*17 in Yamhill County

*14 in Douglas County

*12 in Josephine County

*10 each in Benton and Crook counties

*8 in Polk County

*5 in Jefferson County

*4 each in Lake and Malheur counties

*3 each in Clatsop, Morrow and Tillamook counties

*2 each in Columbia, Harney, Wasco and Wheeler counties

*1 each in Grant, Hood River, and Wallowa counties

OHA said the total number of hospitalizations across Oregon is 345, which is 19 more than on Monday. There are 89 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 11 more than on Monday.

OHA reported that 34,415 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 17,961 doses were administered on Monday. 16,454 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Monday.
