COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,488, AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,488, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 740 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 182,040. The new cases include:

*116 in Multnomah County

*114 in Washington County

*80 in Deschutes County

*67 in Lane County

*64 in Clackamas County

*48 in Marion County

*45 in Klamath County

*29 in Jackson County

*23 in Linn County

*16 in Benton County

*15 each in Douglas and Umatilla counties

*11 in Yamhill County

*10 in Columbia County

*9 in Crook County

*8 each in Clatsop, Josephine,Malheur and Polk counties

*7 in Grant County

*6 in Coos County

*5 each in Baker and Harney counties

*4 each in Curry and Lake counties

*3 each in Jefferson and Lincoln counties

*2 each in Tillamook and Wallowa counties

*1 in Hood River County

The new deaths ranged in age from 86 to 88. 1 each lived in Harney and Clackamas counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 328, which is 9 more than on Monday. There are 71 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 6 less than on Monday.

OHA reported that 28,212 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 16,907 doses were administered on Monday. 11,305 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Monday.
