COVID-19 CLAIMS 1 MORE LIFE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,486, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,486, as of  Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 630 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 181,321. The new cases include:

*164 in Multnomah County

*94 in Clackamas County

*81 in Marion County

*66 in Washington County

*55 in Jackson County

*43 in Deschutes County

*40 in Lane County

*16 in Linn County

*10 in Polk County

*8 each in Josephine and Yamhill counties

*7 in Columbia County

*5 in Tillamook County

*4 each in Douglas, Clatsop and Grant counties

*3 each in Crook and Wasco counties

*2 each in Baker, Benton, Jefferson and Lincoln counties

*1 each in Hood River and Union counties

The newest death was an 80-year old woman in Douglas County who tested positive on Friday and died on Saturday at CHI Mercy Medical Center.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 319, which is 28 more than on Sunday. There are 77 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 11 more than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 27,077 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 18,911 doses were administered on Sunday. 8,166 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.
