COVID-19 CLAIMS 7 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,031 AS OF TUESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 7 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,031, as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 529 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, raising the state total to 147,932. The new cases include:

*78 in Multnomah County

*65 in Clackamas County

*54 in Marion County

*40 in Washington County

*39 in Lane County

*29 in Umatilla County

*20 in Josephine County

*19 each in Jackson and Polk counties

*18 in Harney County

*16 in Douglas County

*11 in Yamhill County

*10 in Hood River County

*9 each in Coos, Klamath, Linn and Wallowa counties

*7 in Wasco County

*5 each in Deschutes, Jefferson and Union counties

*4 in Baker County

*3 each in Columbia and Curry counties

*2 in Clatsop County

*1 each in Crook, Grant, Lincoln, Malheur and Tillamook counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 44 to 92. 1 each lived in Columbia, Deschutes, Josephine, Lane, Marion, Union, and Hood River counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 226, which is 5 more than on Monday. There are 53 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Monday.

OHA reported that 16,340 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 7,863 doses were administered on Monday. 8,477 were administered on previous days and entered into the vaccine registry on Monday.

Oregon has administered a cumulative total of 588,740 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 801,125 new doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
