COVID-19 has claimed 16 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,449, as of Tuesday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 713 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 111,227. The new cases include:
*105 in Multnomah County
*90 in Clackamas County
*88 in Marion County
*60 each in Washington and Lane counties
*39 in Deschutes County
*36 in Jackson County
*26 each in Coos and Umatilla counties
*25 in Baker County
*22 in Linn County
*15 in Josephine County
*14 in Yamhill County
*12 each in Klamath, Lincoln and Malheur counties
*11 in Polk County
*9 in Clatsop County
*7 in Benton County
*6 each in Columbia, Douglas, Union and Wasco counties
*5 in Hood River County
*4 each in Jefferson and Lake counties
*1 each in Crook, Gilliam, Grant, Tillamook and Wheeler counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 51 to 95.
OHA said there are 527 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 across Oregon, which is 12 more than on Monday. There are 119 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 6 more than on Monday.
On Monday, 4,356 doses of vaccine were administered, raising the state’s total number of first vaccine doses to 25,972. All vaccinations occurred at Oregon hospitals and long-term care facilities.
