The City of Reedsport is accepting applications to fill a vacant city council position.
A release said the appointee’s term will begin on July 6th, 2020 and expire at the end of this year. At the regular countywide election in November, the position will be open for election to a new four-year term.
Any qualified elector who has lived in Reedsport continuously during the past twelve months is eligible to serve as a member of the council.
Those interested in applying for this position may pickup an application at Reedsport City Hall on Winchester Avenue. Questions regarding the process can be made by calling 541-271-3603.
Applications should be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday June 15th.
