The board of the Roseburg Community Concert Association has canceled its 2020-21 season.
Christopher Glenn of RCCA said as event details and financial obligations associated with the season needed to be finalized by this month, and with many uncertainties associated with the COVID-19 crisis looming large, they made “the very difficult” decision to cancel the season.
Glenn said the group is grateful for many loyal patrons and volunteers who have helped to bring hundreds of concerts to the community over the past 75 plus years. He said many have gone well above the price of their annual membership with very generous donations to keep the series running. Glenn said special thanks goes out to various organizations, including the local media, for helping to promote the series through the years.
Glenn said the board will remain in place for now as they follow developments and consider what the future may bring for the organization. The RCCA Facebook page will be updated with information as it develops.
