The Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for its 2019-20 Project Leadership professional development program.
A release from the chamber said Project Leadership Roseburg provides participants with an awareness of Douglas County and a deeper understanding of how the community works, directly from the business leaders. The nine-month program not only shares knowledge about business in Roseburg, but shows participants how they can get involved to help create a more vibrant future for Douglas County, according to the release.
Participants will attend day-long sessions monthly for nine months from September 2019 through May of 2020. The full day workshops include panel presentations, site tours, and leadership and teambuilding activities. Workshops provide information about economic drivers such as natural resources, manufacturing, tourism, education and health care industries to name a few. Those participating will also select, raise funds and complete a community-benefit project.
Project Leadership will start its 30th year on September 12th. Over 600 people have graduated from the professional development program.
The cost for the program is $700 for Roseburg Area Chamber members or their employees and $925 for non-members. Acceptance is on a first-come, first-approved basis. To request an application call 672-2648 extension 23.
