An update from the Northwest Incident Management Team 9 and Oregon State Fire Marshal Blue Incident Team, said the fire is burning in grass and timber east of Glide. Nordeen said numerous resources are still arriving and will be assigned. The fire spotted across the Umpqua River on Tuesday into the 2002 Apple Fire scar.
Three Type 1 helicopters and a Type 3 helicopter are being utilized as weather allows.
